TUNE IN LIVE NOW, 156 HOURS ON THE CLOCK...
Hi everyone, we have several updates to share on the recent denial-of-service (DoS) server attacks that have affected Rocket League and our players.
We’ve deployed multiple changes to help better detect and defeat the methods used in DoS attacks over the last several weeks. Since these changes went out with update v2.51 last week, DoS reports from players have dropped significantly.
With new detection methods in place, we are instantly removing players who use these attacks from online matches, and then banning the accounts in waves.
In addition to the changes we’ve made, we've sent a Cease & Desist to a DoS tool distributor. We will not tolerate bad actors who ruin the experience for other players. Anyone caught distributing or using DoS tools will be banned and may face legal consequences.
We'll continue developing more ways to catch DoS exploits. Thank you for sticking with us while we’ve worked behind the scenes to solve this.

What happened to Zen yesterday is completely unacceptable. Harassment of any kind is not welcome in our esport.
Take time to remember that the pros in this game are real people who have feelings. And especially with how young many of these community figures are.
Do better 🫵
This is why RLCS and esports in general needs major marketing campaign. Why isn't the first thing you see when starting rocket League a promo for RLCS.
The caster scene is falling apart right now.
Orgs have been allegedly using Liquipedia points as a means of paying casters. Casters have been offering work for free to undercut other casters in the middle of negotiations. 10s of thousands in prizepool tournaments demanding free or below min wage work.
As a means of developing Tier 2 talent within not just Rocket League but all of esports, there needs to be some standards and ethics in place so people are protected. But with the state that the industry is in right now that just seems unlikely. It's already incredibly hard to develop yourself to the point where you can get these opportunities. But now you're also battling against shady orgs, and now your fellow casters.
Casters aren't just there to talk over the game. They turn what otherwise would be a VOD or screaming reactions into a coherent product that tells a story and narrative. They turn the game into an esport. If we don't give a chance for casters to develop, due to shadiness, the next generation will look bleak. Remember that some of your favourite casters today started off somewhere, and built up the scene together.
I just wasn't expecting casters to turn onto each other tbh.
Shoutouts to the orgs who can see the bigger picture though and give talent a chance to develop into something special and see them for their value.
You know who you are and I appreciate you.

Well guys, this is it. I have officially retired from professional Rocket League.
I will make a video soon with the reasons why, some of which are obvious and some of which are a bit more personal. But for now, I just want to say thank you. This experience has been one of a lifetime, one that I will forever be grateful for and cherish. It's been almost a decade now since this journey began, and it has gone by so fast. From day one, I just wanted to appreciate it and not take it for granted, and looking back I am very proud. I have made so many memories from this game. Some of hardship and failure, and some of overcoming what I felt was impossible. All the friendships and relationships I have made, places I have had the privilege of going to, and it's all because of Rocket League. I am eternally grateful I stumbled upon this game and community, and I hope I was able to impact it even a fraction of how much it has impacted me.
I won't be going too far, as I will still be making content around the game, but it is certainly the end of a huge chapter of my life, one that is bittersweet to close. To all my teammates, and those who supported me through all this, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
