BRUTAL TRUTH ABOUT CINNAMΟΝ. NOT ALL CINNAMON WORKS.

1. Cassia cinnamon (common in stores) contains coumarin - too much damages your liver. Use Ceylon cinnamon instead.

2. Ceylon cinnamon lowers blood sugar cassia just adds flavor without the same effect.

3. Add cinnamon to anything with carbs - it slows sugar absorption by 30% when eaten together.

4. Cinnamon needs fat to absorb - sprinkle it on oatmeal with butter or coconut oil.

5. Cinnamon tea works: steep a stick in hot water for 15 minutes, not 2 minutes.

6. Never take cinnamon powder dry - it can cause choking and lung irritation. Mix into food or liquid.

7. Store cinnamon in an airtight glass jar away from light - ground cinnamon loses potency after 6 months.
