There’s been an update in the case involving the police officer who faked being hit by a car.

The arrested man is reportedly called Pete, has neurological health issues and diabetes.

It is alleged he was left in a police cell for 24 hours without food or welfare checks, and was effectively forgotten about, all while police searched his home.

There now needs to be full transparency over exactly what happened, why he was arrested, how he was treated in custody, and whether proper procedures were followed.
