Hasta hoy, las preguntas esenciales siguen sin respuesta.

No se ha explicado cuál será el canon por ocupar terrenos públicos durante hasta 90 años, si el Municipio recibirá ingresos por la operación del estacionamiento ni cuáles serán las garantías para proteger el interés del pueblo.

La transparencia no es un favor. Es una obligación cuando se administra el patrimonio de Puerto Rico.

Carta de Smart Parking System al Senado en respuesta a una Petición de Información relacionada a la Ordenanza 55 mediante la que Miguel Romero Lugo pretende privatizar una parte indefinida del Parque El Escambrón por los próximos 90 años.
La carta identifica las personas que componen la corporación de responsabilidad limitada Smart Parking System. De otra parte, expone las lagunas y vacíos que rodean este proyecto que se ha estado desarrollando en secreto y a espalda de la ciudadanía. Al momento no existe una delimitación precisa del terreno a ser privatizado, tampoco un expediente técnico completo, y no se conoce la naturaleza del acuerdo que se pretende suscribir con Smart parking systems sin una subasta pública.
