@madeleinewintr I think this is after she gets back from Dragonstone. He tries to make things right after their fight last season and she has to lie to his face, knowing he’ll never forgive her when he finds out about her deal
Something is ever so slightly off in the vibe of almost every scene in the Percy Jackson show and I've never been able to figure out exactly the problem but it's still there in S2. Some part of it feels inauthentic and I don't know if it's the acting, writing, directing, or what
@thanergy I think, best case scenario, HBO Max being left as a separate service to Netflix means they'll more or less let HBO continue as they are. They could operate like Hulu/FX is to Disney+, the more prestige and creator-driven shows as opposed to Netflix's IP blockbusters.
I genuinely love that #pluribus doesn't care to string the audience along with a grand mystery. Carol struggling with loneliness yet inspiring Manousos to action is so much more impactful than the "they're eating human remains" reveal ever could've been
Matt Reeves is a fan of the Telltale games, he included the corrupt Thomas Wayne twist, so I'm betting on Scarlet Johansson being Vicki Vale/Lady Arkham. Fits with them saying the villain has never *really* been done before, because Vicki was in the 1989 film but not Lady Arkham
Spending the first half of the episode on cutesy flirting with Dina then hard pivoting to torture in the last ten minutes really does highlight the dissonance in how they've written Ellie this season compared to the game #TheLastOfUs
With Lewis Pullman finally getting some recognition thanks to Thunderbolts, I need everyone to check out Bad Times at the El Royale. One of my all time favorites with a crazy stacked cast, criminally slept on

Not to be the friend that's too woke but Taskmaster was a victim with the same trauma as Yelena. Instead of developing her to be more comic accurate (or leaving her be after BW), they kill her pathetically. Loved the movie but it's a waste
I am strongly opposed to the theories I'm seeing around that it was Helena this episode (or just the ending). Robs the beautiful final scene of a lot of meaning and it would be really lazy to just repeat the big twist of S2 again #Severance
