18 years ago, Johnny Damon went 6-for-6 with 4 RBI in a 12-11 win over the Royals, that included his walk-off single to complete the comeback.
Damon was the only Yankees player to ever go 6-for-6 at Yankee Stadium. Myril Hoag did it at Fenway in 1934.
@JoezMcfLy Yes. Does not sound like UCL. Could be tendinitis of triceps tendon which is a whole lot easier to recover from and of course timeline is much shorter. But of course these are only words not the MRI 🤷🏻♂️

The Dodgers don’t just defer some money. They have $1.13 BILLION in deferred payments — nearly 9× (!) more than the next closest team. Most of the league is at zero. That alone should end the comparison.
Jose Ramirez deferring millions is a disingenuous rounding error. That’s normal roster flexibility (especially after he's now taken 2 hometown discounts to stay in Cleveland). What the Dodgers are doing is systemic — enabled by ownership cash flow and a TV deal literally designed to bypass normal revenue sharing.
"During the McCourt bankruptcy, MLB allowed the Dodgers to structure SportsNet LA so only a capped “fair-market” portion counted toward revenue sharing. The rest? Retained. That deal now averages $300M+ annually, giving them the liquidity to float massive deferrals without blinking."
So no, this isn’t “smart teams being creative.” and "everyone can do this."
It’s a mega market with a unique TV carve out stockpiling over a billion dollars in IOUs while pretending it’s the same as Jose Ramirez helping Cleveland with cap timing.
Same CBA. Completely different reality.
And pretending otherwise is either ignorance or bad faith.
The Yankees, even in their heyday, were never as aggressive and invested in the free agent market as are the modern Dodgers.
This is wholly unprecedented in baseball.
And good for them.
I’m sure Grisham would have preferred long term deal HOWEVER attaching a draft pick to him I believe led him to take QO. I didn’t see a team losing a pick for him. Don’t blame him, I wouldn’t want to be a FA into Spring Training
