Leaders take note, a restless baby can be fooled by a dummy in its mouth but the African child who is hungry and unemployed can never be pacified by empty promises.
We dismally fail as leaders when our leadership does not positively change the living conditions and future trajectory of those we lead. Leading is about them not us!
I wonder why leaders in Africa lead as if Africa has nothing significant to contribute to the global world? We sadly allow our value and worth to be defined by others who are ignorant about our context.
As I reflect on Women's Month, it is true that we as men have dismally failed our women and children. The huge deficit I see in us is self leadership and until we learn to effectively lead ourselves we are doomed!
African leaders need to realize that their citizens vote is sacrosanct and it's critical that it translates into bread and butter issues. Any vote that does not guarantee this is a waste of time and makes a mockery of the right to vote@.
Great leaders allow their followers to define their own destinies while bad leaders make self serving decisions for them. We thrive when we lead ourselves!
Someone please educate me. There is a tendency by a number of leaders to use national defence forces that exist to protect the sovereignty of their countries but use them to intimidate, suppress and silence citizens. This coward act cannot be normalized!
I found myself wondering, who are our leaders in Africa when developed nations keep treating us as second class world citizens? Africa needs to determine its own trajectory that is citizens driven and not diluted by the politics of the stomach!
Who has bewitched some African leaders that they are immune and unmoved by their citizen's plight who are desperate for a better life? Africa needs to exorcize this demon for it's people to thrive!
It's sad that some African leaders have mastered the art of pimping African resources and cheap labour to the new exploiters of the continent with zero benefits to citizens.
