In my little town there are five high schools. All work hard to provide safety and learning. On Monday a family group came violently onto the grounds of one school. They came to assault another student! How dare they enter a safe space which strives for our children’s best.
Equal means everyone starts at the same place? But in NZ that’s not the case today. There are rich and famous, Devon makers, people who have no where to live. Schools with fees that are mind blowing and free schools. House without heating and mansions. Is this equality?
@Dumbas61007425@witton_liz I don’t see the treaty as up for parliamentary debate. It is a founding dicument. An historic agreement between people of the time to ensure the future strength of two groups hoping to make the most of the future. That’s us!
@JamesAFurey Wow as a retired English teacher I find this statement kind of wild. When I learnt English I was forced to read what the government decreed. In fact the English government. It took me ages to learn toappreciate any of it. So much was not about where I grew up.
