Overall, in 2018, 7.70m tonnes of solid waste was generated by our CSI (city, state, island) 🇸🇬. That’s 1.329 tonnes of solid waste per pax! #Reduce #Reuse #Recycle is a mantra that we must follow. The #ecology cannot deal w our #consumerist mindset anymore.

From @NEAsg, 949,300 tonnes of #plasticwaste was generated by #Singapore 🇸🇬 in 2018. Only 40,700 tonnes was recycled - a dismal 4% #recycling rate.
#Foodwaste is another area of concern. 763,100 tonnes were generated last year. Food paradise SG can do better!
