@Jdjdndhdkdbidmd@Sosowski@OxfordYazuka Which supports « best » only M1 and M2 sadly (and by best, it’s around 85% I’d say). Hopefully they will reach the point where it’s 100% for every chips :p.
@notredstone1@SmorglesBord@geerlingguy Are they even working on it at this time? I’ve barely seen good support even for more recent Apple Sillicon chips :(. @grok did asahi team announced they are working to make asahi compatible with Neo?
@kevinbhobart@WindowsLatest Aaaahhh you never know, Intel will produce chips for Apple Sillicon so maybe in the future they may produce some for Qualcomm 😇. It will not be branded and engineered by Intel but still, it will be built by Intel ^^.
@ThinkFinance999@WindowsLatest Hey @grok how big is market share of arm against x86? How is the market share of Apple Sillicon against x86 regular home computers? And out of curiosity how big is the market share of arm smartphones against x86 computers?
@BLUESKY_host@geerlingguy Apple does not care about Framework as their market share is really low. The Neo was made to fight Chromebooks mainly, and maybe some well known lower-end PCs.
Imagine I’m still running Air M2 and haven’t reached its limit yet, daily use it’s still fast and enough 😇. I still use also my iPad Pro 11, a 2018 tablet.. Probably its last year it’s getting a bit slow now and Apple will drop support for major updates (only security updates). Anti Apple are not aware of that, because they don’t use it and don’t check it + stay in their echo chamber.
