This war could have been ended long ago, but Putin does not want that. One moment he is looking for weapons in North Korea, the next in Iran, and then he finds something else to keep the war going and keep killing. Evil that can only be stopped by sufficient force.

I met with the team of the Lockheed Martin defense company – one of the strongest enterprises in the United States, with which we have been cooperating for a long time. Lockheed Martin is the company that produces ATACMS, HIMARS, F-16s, and missiles for Patriot systems.

Today, we discussed further development of our cooperation – joint production and technology exchange. Ukraine has a lot to share with those who help us protect lives. We spoke about our joint capabilities related to Patriots and other systems. Our teams are already working on specific solutions to move to co-production as quickly as possible and increase our capabilities to protect lives. Today in Washington, we had a major meeting with representatives of both parties in the Senate – more than 60 senators were present. Thank you for this support and for your high assessment of the results of our warriors on the front lines and Ukraine’s ability to respond justly to Russia for its strikes against our people. We discussed many issues, first and foremost, anti-ballistic defense. Thank you for your readiness to help.

It is symbolic that today, as we bid farewell to Senator Lindsey Graham, the Senate held a procedural vote on a bill imposing sanctions against Russia that he had worked so hard on. It was an honor to be present as the votes were counted – 86 senators supported the bill. This is the first step toward implementing Lindsey’s plans, and certainly a step toward peace. It is important that this tool works.

We appreciate President @TokayevKZ telling Putin it is time to stop the war. A realistic, timely, and wise message.

Ukraine has proposed stopping the war along current frontlines and turning to diplomacy, but the Kremlin continues to reject this clear path to peace. Putin’s spokesman has already dismissed the Kazakh President’s proposal as well.

The bottom line: Moscow must feel more pressure before it accepts realistic peace proposals.

I spoke with @HakanFidan following his successful visit to Kyiv and ratification of the Ukraine-Türkiye Free Trade Agreement.

I informed my Turkish colleague about Russia’s escalation of terror against civilian shipping in the Black Sea.

Given that Türkiye is the strongest Black Sea power with a successful record in peace efforts since 2022, Ankara can play a critical role in restoring freedom of navigation.

This is especially important against the backdrop of unacceptable risks to global food security stemming from Russian attacks against Ukraine’s maritime corridor during the peak harvest.

We spoke about ways to restore freedom of navigation and ensure global food security.

I once again thanked Türkiye for its unwavering stance in support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

We condemn Russian drone violating the airspace of Romania, the sovereign territory of an EU Member State and NATO Ally. It is a clear demonstration of the Kremlin's complete disregard for international law, national sovereignty, and European security.

Russia is constantly testing the West's resolve, probing our collective reaction, and preparing the ground for further hybrid aggression. Every weak response only encourages Moscow to raise the stakes.

No one should pretend that Russia's aggression can be geographically contained. The same regime that launches missiles at Kyiv, bombs civilians in Ukrainian cities, and attacks merchant vessels in the Black Sea is repeatedly violating NATO airspace.

The response must match the scale of the threat. We need a comprehensive deterrence package for Ukraine and Europe: stronger sanctions, maximum pressure on Russia, and a joint effort to shield Europe's skies from Russian terror.

The fastest way to strengthen Europe's security is to deny Russia the ability to terrorize Ukraine. That would be the strongest answer to the Kremlin's escalating aggression.

Russia’s escalating terror against civilian cargo vessels in the Black Sea carries a serious risk to global food security.

If Moscow does not stop its strikes, the resulting shock to food prices will hit the most vulnerable, especially in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.

We need global solidarity and strong voices of countries in these regions to address Putin and demand an immediate end to attacks on freedom of navigation in the Black Sea.

Russia is doing to the Black Sea and food security what Iran has done to the Strait of Hormuz and energy security.

Do not stay silent! Act now to stop Russian terror, the weaponization of food, and the use of hunger as a tool of war.

A rescue operation is currently underway in the Kyiv region following a Russian missile strike. As of now, dozens of people have been reported injured. It has also been confirmed that, tragically, sіх people were killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Efforts to determine exactly what happened and the fate of those affected are ongoing. All necessary emergency services are on the scene.

There were also casualties in Slovyansk following guided aerial bomb strikes. Five people were killed. My condolences to their families. Nine others were injured. The Russians damaged ordinary homes, the consulate building, and vehicles.

These were brutal attacks on civilians, and the Russians must be held accountable for them. Russia has long abandoned any regard for international norms – and for human values. Their only interest is in continuing the killing. It is important that our partners fully understand that protecting lives also depends on them. Interceptors for Patriot systems are the number one priority.

I welcome the agreement on the 21st sanctions package against Russia.

At a time when Ukraine has built military momentum, our sanctions continue to weaken the economic foundations of Russia’s war effort.

We’re adding 32 more Russian banks to our transaction ban list.

As well as crypto firms and oil trading platforms.

Freezing the oil price cap adjustment for a year, so that the Russian war machine does not benefit from market shocks.

For the first time, we’re targeting vessels assisting Russia’s shadow fleet.

And we took an important step towards formally banning Russian combatants from entering the EU.

Great to welcome Matthew Whitaker @MattWhitaker46, U.S. Ambassador to NATO, back in Kyiv – this time together with Lieutenant General Curtis Buzzard, Commander of NATO Security Assistance & Training for Ukraine.

We had a good talk – first and foremost on how to protect Ukrainian skies with more Patriot interceptor supplies through PURL. This is a critical priority now, as massive Russian attacks continue unabated. We also discussed the U.S.-Ukraine bilateral defense partnership: building on President Trump's decision in Ankara to license Ukraine to produce Patriots, and the Drone Deal, which our teams are now working through. This has real potential, and we hope to get it finalized soon.

I also presented Curtis Buzzard the Order "For Merit," III class. Thank you for standing by our side through all these years of aggression. Ukraine is grateful to President Trump, the U.S. Congress, and the American people for their support.
