The Finance Bill Sub-Committee has written to
@Jesse_Norman following its December hearings on the Loan Charge. The Sub-Committee found HMRC must make more progress on the issue, and made recommendations for action. Read the letter here ⬇️

I am currently contracting at a large corporation & they have decided to offshore most of the contract roles and blanket assess the very few remaining contractors to all be inside #IR35
So if we can manage to hold on, there will only be #COVID & the #LoanCharge to worry about🤦♂️
I am the daughter of one of the people who tragically took their lives facing the unfair & dangerous #LoanCharge. My Dad was a good man & never broke the law, the Loan Charge destroyed him. I urge all MPs to read my letter before they vote today. Please vote #NC31 & #savelives
In #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek LCAG Helpline calls on HMRC to URGENTLY suspend all #LoanCharge & settlement communications IMMEDIATELY. Unpayable demands plus lost livelihoods due #coronavirus pushing #mentalhealth to limit and risks more tragic suicides.

The ironic thing is I used an umbrella comparison site and guess what...I got offered a service with an unbelievable take home salary 🤔 So promoters are still actively trying to pull people in... #trap
We congratulate @RishiSunak on his promotion to Chancellor and urge him to act where Sajid Javid failed and finally take action to resolve the injustices of #LoanCharge with thousands still facing bankruptcy from retrospective taxes.

Great news that the @loanchargeAPPG is reforming. We look forward to them continuing their efforts to shine a light on the #LoanChargeScandal and to agitate for real change for ALL affected people
#STOPtheLoanCharge
Delighted to say that we held our inaugural AGM in this Parliament & with an unprecedented turnout for such a meeting, the #LoanChargeAPPG has restarted & will now re-register. Co-chairs elected @EdwardJDavey@RuthCadbury#MikePenning. We look forward to carrying on our work.
Thank you @steve_packham for a clear summary of what is wrong with the #LoanCharge & Sir Amyas Morse's review. The fudge is some attempt to appease both sides but as it means the majority of us will still be ruined it favours @HMRCgovuk & changes nothing in respect of our fight.
Pleased to make my first contribution in #Parliament#TreasuryQuestions today. Asking the Minister about the #LoanCharge - I look forward to the meeting and discussing further.
Thank you @ChrisM4Chester and @JulieMarson for asking #LoanCharge related questions at Treasury Question time today. It was disappointing that there wasn’t enough time for @MikeAmesburyMP to ask his question. Listen to @JesseNorman’s responses here

A very powerful piece by Tax Justice campaigner Prof. @RichardJMurphy on @hmrcgovuk’s “gross negligence” & “callously indifferent” attitude regarding the #LoanChargeScandal. We have stated previously the need for an overhaul & proper oversight & accountability of #HMRC.
Pleased to attend the AGM of the @loanchargeAPPG this afternoon. Never seen such a large turnout - a clear demonstration of the strength of feeling that exists on, and the determination to campaign against, the #LoanCharge.
