There is a family that lost a Brigadier General. A husband. A father. A career soldier who trusted the institution he served with his life and paid for that trust with his life. The pictures of his corpse being paraded were seen by people who loved him. That specific wound does not heal with press releases about peace negotiations or semantic debates about what to call his killers. It demands acknowledgment, accountability and the basic dignity of never calling the people who killed him brothers in public again.

An American aircraft was shot down in Iran and one of the crew members was declared missing.

The American government deployed its military strength and rescued that missing personnel.

In nigeria, a brigadier general sent his location to the army while he was fighting terrorists, his location was leaked to the terrorists who found him and slaughtered him, parading pictures of his corpse like a dead dog. A whole brigadier general.

Today the same Nigerian army is referring to those barbaric terrorists as “clients” and government officials are calling them their “brothers”.

Meanwhile, as the blood of our citizens soaked the soil of Jos- while mothers cradled dead children and then surrendered their own last breath, @officialABAT , @NGRPresident , his party @OfficialAPCNg and allies were busy hosting conventions and jostling for more power.

Selfish power to see to the killings of more Nigerians so that you can govern them in the graveyards?
