Recognizing the interconnections of Human,Animal and Environmental Health are crucial in ensuring resilient livestock systems. The three domains cannot be addressed in isolation.#OneHealth#ZoNoHchallenge
@WilliamsRuto I was here last week Mr. President. Give me a role to represent our country in diplomatic relationships. I am a Gen Z😅. I will do a good job.
The penalty is hefty, and more businesses abusing their buyer power over their suppliers must be punished, too.
Abuse of buyer power occurs when a company with significant market influence leverages its position to exploit suppliers, often at the expense of fair competition and consumer welfare. Imagine a supermarket giant squeezing its suppliers for impossibly low prices, forcing them to cut corners on quality or labour practices.
Common Tactics
1. Demanding excessively low prices: Sell to us at this price, or you keep your goods.
2. Late payments: We are holding on to your payments, and you can't go anywhere.
3. Unilateral contract changes: We have changed the contract terms, and you can stay or leave.
4. Threatening to switch suppliers (Coercion): Sell to us at this price, or we replace you with supplier B.
5. Imposing excessive fees or penalties: Your Avocados were low quality, and we will only pay 20% of the invoice value.
As part of the Halcyon Food & Ag Nairobi Residency, I together with other Halcyon Fellows from across #Africa had a founder to founder talk with @HelloTractor 's Founder & CEO @Jehiel at Hello Tractor's Nairobi HQs to discuss about challenges and opportunities of the agtech ecosystem in Africa.
It was a very enlightining session held with the background of the start ups own 10 Year journey.
I was more facsinated that they had managed to agree with a leading bank to finance farmers who are able to book 500 Ha of farmland to till and be able to put up only a 5% deposit can actually be financed to own a @JohnDeere Tractor in #Kenya & #Nigeria
This is a testament to the fact rhat as much as agtech is hard it can transform the food system in a very powerful way.
@facebook the new design you have introduced of mentioning location in posts is not cool at all. We loved the previous design where location appared at the top. This new way of adding location disrupts the fluency of posts.
"Our deepest fear is not, we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, talented.?
Actually, who are we not to be? You are a child of God."

Don't want someone who'll quench her dreams because of marriage and family. Need someone who , together, we can grow in our respective careers.

A bar in Ndenderu along Limuru road hired a cheap amateur to display fireworks. They almost burnt the village as the fireworks went sideways instead of going upwards
