“Shit. I know shit's bad right now, with all that starving bullshit, and the dust storms, and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings...” — Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho https://t.co/oqUltPH4Tk
「外人」vs「変な外人」The (western) expat community here needs to understand the difference between the two. It seems most gaijin folk on twitter unfortunately are in the latter camp.
@Msamalam but maybe i just get away with it because I do as the romans do. don’t look like central casting sent you to play the gaijin character out clubbing in the pong. just be a weirdo inside your heart.
@Msamalam honestly, the only times I’ve been harassed by the police have all been in the US (and I’ve lived all over the world). I don’t know what these folks are doing that make them such targets, but I’ve never been stopped here. I’ve generally found the cops here very helpful. lol
@lobstereo nice. followed. I quite liked macau. didn’t get to spend as much time as I wanted to. had a nice conversation with a macanese man on the ferry from hk. he seemed happy i took an interest in his oft overlooked hometown (at least back then).
@lobstereo the masculine urge to let you know that i visited macau in its waning days as a portuguese colony, before the arrival of casinos ruined a beautiful sleepy little canto-latin town.
@edwhittaker jeebus. we’re all on the same boat. my parents have been stuck in the US for two years now. they’re supposed to be spending their retirement years here. do you see me complaining on twitter that my rights have been violated? not happy but there’s a pandemic on. shit happens.
