To the Americans:

I've travelled all over the world. I've familiarized myself with many places, and met many people. And I'm a Canadian, although I’m privileged to reside once again in the States.

And here's something I've noticed, and it’s a key element of America's continuing greatness:

You bloody Americans value success, and you believe in its existence.

This is something that doesn't really happen anywhere else in the world. Even in other free democracies—the United Kingdom; Finland, Sweden, and Norway; Australia, New Zealand and Canada; Germany, France, and the Netherlands (great countries all)—a counterproductive cynicism too often reigns.

Success is equated with exploitation.
Ambition is looked upon with contempt.

This happens sometimes in the United States too—particularly among the miserable progressives, who confuse their resentment, ingratitude and unearned skepticism with wisdom.

But in your great country, by and large, striving is admired and success celebrated.

This means that more people strive and succeed in the US than anywhere else. And it's increasingly obvious. You remain stunningly more innovative and productive than any people anywhere else on the planet.

And so I say, as all should who are fortunate enough to live in the western world, let alone America:

Thank God for the United States.

Thank God for the wisdom of its founders.
Thank God for its faith in the free market and in the natural rights of man.
Happy birthday, you damn Yankees and Southerners.

Long may your admirable country dominate the world.

Long may your freedom and hope provide an example to those suffering everywhere at the hands of their malevolent states.

May your two and a half centuries of unparallelled success be just the beginning.

Your country is the light of the world, and the city on the hill.

Thank God for the USA.

Malan Potgieter went bogey-free for 54 holes at NCAA Regionals to qualify for the NCAA Championship individually.

He's now bogey-free through 36 holes at Omni La Costa and stands T2 🤯

The @RaginCajunsGolf senior, who entered the week at 27th on the PGA TOUR University Ranking, is projected to move inside the top 25 and earn a PGA TOUR Americas card.

Just $400K—about 4%—came from the university’s general fund (the part with any state money). The other ~$9.2M (96%) was paid by TAF, a private nonprofit fueled by boosters, tickets, and sponsors.

In a $2.3 billion LSU budget, that $400K is 0.017%—less than 2 cents per $100.

Taxpayers didn’t bankroll the coach. Private donors did.

Heisman Thoughts
The Heisman is a nuanced award, as there is over 800 media voters that largely decide who wins the trophy. This is the first year in awhile that the winner isn't basically in the bag at this point in time.

As of now, Bo Nix is the odds-on favorite. While Bo would be a fine winner, I actually don't think he wins it/deserves to be the favorite.

Notable QB Winners
When you look at prior QB winners, you'll notice a few things.

- They have around a 70% completion percentage.
- The have nearly a .600 PPA/Pass and .600 PPA/Play
- They account for about 3.7 TDs per game.
- The account for about 350 yards per game.
- They average about 5.2 20+ yard passes per game.
- They do run it a bit.

Current QBs
Below, I highlighted in Green all of the QBs that are currently in the running who surpass the numbers listed above.

Bo Nix is having a fine season but is falling short of the Heisman pace in almost every single statistical category besides completion percentage. Michael Penix is having a better season as it relates to the Heisman stats, but his performance has fallen off as of late.

The ONLY Quarterback that is at or even above all of those guidelines set forth by your prior champions is Jayden Daniels.

He is truly putting up a phenomenal statistical season. It is on pace to be BETTER than Lamar Jackson's Heisman winning 2016 Campaign. Should we penalize Daniels for the 3 losses? In a normal situation where that largely falls on the quarterback, sure.

In their 3 losses, Daniels put up an average of 435 yards and 3 TDs while the LSU defense allowed 45, 55 and 42 points.

There have been two winners in the last 20 years that have lost 3 games - Lamar and Tebow.

I personally think that Jayden Daniels of @LSUfootball will be the 3rd added to the list. He is truly the best player in the country this season.
