As a doctor, I spent 5 hrs on American A flight attending to a sick passenger. No reward! British Airways gave a flight “ anywhere in the world” for similar. Should doctors help sick passengers for free-but with liability? #travel#travelblogger#TravelSmart#TravelInspiration
On a recent American Air flight I spent 5 hours attending to a passenger with seizures. No reward! In contrast, British Air gave me a “ flight anywhere in the world” for treating a passenger in cardiac arrest.
Biden should have shown at least some support and understanding for the Palestinians; the image of the US as the creator of the Middle deadlock remains; Biden's projected image for even-handedness is tarnished!
@HuffPost Religious fanatics/Science denialists -the reason the US COVID-19 death rate is 100x greater than those of tiny Vietnam and Rwanda - bow our heads in shame to history!
@hels @luisabrimble Thanks for your New Yorker article on food delivery. I loved your analogy with the puma hunting! But I am flummoxed why ordering by phone is so hard for some: it's quicker, more personal, and costs less! Sad that we are losing this skill of interpersonal communication!
@luisabrimble @hels This flummoxes me. Why would ordering by phone be so difficult? To me ordering online takes longer, is impersonal, and actually costs more!
@SulemanFatimaZA@UkznSWITCH@StripeHiv@DrillUKZN Agree. I teach a course of 20hrs on metacognition to first year medical students - crucial skills/attributes for the physician of the future!
An ungrateful airline. As the only doctor on board, I recently save the life of 4 year girl on your flight from London to Nashville doing CPR - not even thanked by BA!
As a doctor on BA 223 from LHR to US was called after take off to see a 4 y old girl - unresponsive. Performed CPR & resuscitated. Flight returned to London. Flight staff attentive but worrisome that medical equipment on board lacking - no pulse oximeter, malfunctioning O2 & AED
