Last night, we cut the v3 release of registry (aka distribution); this is the first major stable release in [I lost the track how many] years. It's the culmination of years of effort by the container community and maintainers. It ships faster and less resource-hungry storage drivers, it's v1 OCI compliant and deprecates outdated cruft.
