For almost twelve years, we have had the joy and honor to explore the Destiny universe with you all. Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2.
As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio.
Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to.
We’re proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us.
From the deepest part of our hearts, thank you, and we'll see you in the stars.
@thequeenofrust I put 334K on a 97 Ford Ranger. Let it go last year after front end damage made repair cost unreasonable. That 334K includes caving near Austin and San Antonio and a few, more remote areas. And a lot of fishing in Port O'Connor, among many other things. Love to see you move!
Don’t waste your time. Meta attachments locked behind arena that you can’t buy on the flea market in the main game. @bstategames@nikgeneburn stop screwing over the main game to get people to play and spend money in arena
@JohnMcCarthyMMA I think the biggest evolution in MMA is the multidisciplinary knowledge that was forced to evolve. He had never imagined a crucifix was possible before he was in one. Do you think we'll ever see another sport as blindly open to so many disciplines as early UFC?
@Pestily At least for me, that was understood. I think the reaction just goes to show how broad the community perspective really is. By virtue of entertainment value, PvP content will always be stronger for streaming. But among the player base, it seems more diverse.
@Pestily@KingKrucialTV@nikgeneburn@GloriousE1@LVNDMARK_tv I get the want for PvP players to fold PvE players back to PvP, but I think the minimal upside for PvP players would cost BSG quite a bit. As someone who strongly prefers PvE, with or with out my PvE progress, I'd just stop playing if PvE shut down. I don't think I'd be alone.
Humans just launched into space, on their way to the moon (flyby around it). It'll be farthest humans have ever traveled into deep space 🤯 Congrats to all the incredible engineers & teams involved! LFG!!!!!!!
@MoxsyOG Literally the reason I stopped playing. I got my 2nd character to lvl 50, looked at how much of the map was left for point collection, and moved to the next game. At launch I intended to have all 4 characters to end game for DLCs. Same as Diablo 4 launch.
The Fulton Surface-to-Air Recovery System used a skyhook to rescue people without having to land the plane in the 1950s.
Before testing on humans, American inventor Robert Edison Fulton initially tested the skyhook on dummies before moving on to pigs. When the pig was lifted off the ground, it began to spin while flying through the air at 125 miles (200 km/h) per hour. Thankfully, the pig arrived on the plane unharmed, albeit slightly disoriented. When the pig recovered, it began to attack the crew onboard.
