Talks have failed and there are consequences and uncertainty for everyone.

There shouldn't be an absence of details, or major decisions being made based on speculation.

As an MP, I need to immediately know what was in the deal and the precise rationale for walking away.

Considering the changing story on the Gordie Howe bridge deal, every MP deserves full transparency from the government on what happened for their constituents, and to weigh whether or not the government's response is adequate.

No one - regardless of political stripe - should accept the current information vacuum or a "just take our word for it" approach from the government. Too much is at stake. The Liberals should agree with this.

Wear one for a day. Then explain to Afghan women why this is their “culture.”

Five years of Taliban rule: No school, No university. No work. No freedom. Now, even a woman’s voice is treated as forbidden. Morality police patrol the streets with guns and whips to make sure women disappear.

Can someone point me to the section of the Constitution where it says the federal government is responsible for building homes for Canadians?

I must have missed the part where Ottawa became the national developer, homebuilder, landlord, mortgage broker, and municipal planning department.

Apparently, we have decided constitutional jurisdiction is more of a suggestion now. If there’s a problem anywhere in Canada, Ottawa must announce a program, spend billions, and take credit for “solving” it.

At some point, we might want to remember that governments don’t build countries (or homes). People do.
