Post NYSC, when I was struggling in the dirt of dirts. 20K teaching job with 3 tutorial hustles.
I would come back every evening, wear my nicest shirt and walk into a car shop - pockets empty.
"I like the rims on this one, do you have the color in black?"
"Hmmm. The price isn't bad. Can I see the BMW equivalent?"
I'd do this from car shop to car shop. Not because I wanted to waste their time, swimming in delusion or had nothing better to do with my time but I understood the power of visualization.
Sportsmen use it all the time.
You see bah, you stay long in a particular situation - your system starts to normalize it. You start to figure out how to "manage".
" 20K salary abi. Well, if I see like 50K own. I'll just try and walk 2km instead of entering bus"
This is worse than comfort zone because there's no iota of comfort and you're slowly conditioning yourself to optimize it as your new normal.
You need to find ways to put fire in your bosom. To make your dreams nightmares, and your living daylight daydreams. Visualization helps you to see what is possible.
It doesn't have to be with cars, but it has to be with variables incredibly beyond your reach at the moment.
You'll never be big. You'll never grow. You'll never breakforth - if your mind hasn't first conceived the possibility of that future.
Don't let your mind condition what's supposed to be a bus stop for you, become a final destination.
Yes, staring at your screen all day is exactly why you have that pounding headache and blurry vision. Let me explain how to fix it in 20 seconds.
Imagine holding a heavy bucket of water with a straight arm for 8 hours without dropping it.
That is exactly what you are forcing the tiny muscles inside your eyes to do every single day.
When you look at your phone or laptop up close, these tiny eye muscles have to aggressively squeeze together to focus.
Doing this from morning till night makes them work too much.
The muscles get extremely tired, causing dry eyes and those headaches that feel like village people are pressing your forehead.
But there is a simple hack to save your vision.
It is called the 20-20-20 rule. And it works like this:
Every 20 minutes, look away from your screen. Find something that is far away from you (like 20 feet away), and look at it for 20 seconds. That's it.
Looking far away allows those tiny eye muscles to completely relax. Practice the 20-20-20 rule today, and thank me later.
Deal?
HR: “Are you single or married?”
Many candidates panic or overshare:
❌ “I’m single.”
❌ “I’m married with kids.”
❌ “Planning to get married soon…”
Let's not do that.
Instead of reacting emotionally or impulsively, try a smarter approach.
Ask this one calm, strategic question:
✅ “May I understand how this information relates to the requirements or performance expectations of this role?”
That single question does three important things:
1. It keeps the conversation professional
2. It protects your boundaries
3. It signals confidence and awareness
If HR says it’s about availability or flexibility:
✅ “I’m fully able to meet the role’s expectations regarding time, travel, and deliverables.”
If HR says it’s about long-term commitment:
✅ “I’m committed to delivering value and growing within a role where performance is the key measure.”
See the shift?
From a personal question
- to a role-focused discussion
- without confrontation or disrespect
You’re not being difficult.
You’re being professional.
If this helps, retweet it so more people can learn!

Practical Tips
1. Avoid car finance traps
New cars lose value fast, and long term finance deals often hide high interest or balloon payments.
If you must finance, keep the term short and the deposit high.
2. Take calculated risks
The keyword is calculated: research, plan, and understand the downside before acting.
Small risks early in life compound into big advantages later.
3. Stay out of credit card debt
Credit cards are useful tools, but only if you pay the balance in full every month.
Interest on revolving debt is one of the fastest ways to sabotage your financial progress.
4. Max out your ISA allowance
Tax free growth is one of the most powerful wealth-building tools available in the UK.
Even modest monthly contributions add up massively over time.
5. Build and protect your credit score
A strong score lowers borrowing costs and opens doors (mortgages, rentals, even job checks).
Pay on time, keep utilisation low, and avoid unnecessary credit applications.
6. Choose your friends wisely
Your environment shapes your habits, ambitions, and mindset.
Surround yourself with people who encourage growth, not chaos.
7. Build a second stream of income
One income is fine, but a backup income makes life calmer, safer, and more flexible.
A side hustle, freelance skill, or small online business can change your long term trajectory.
8. Take your workplace pension match
Employer match = free money.
Not taking it is leaving part of your salary on the table.
9. Build a 3–6 month emergency fund
This is your buffer against job loss, or unexpected expenses.
It protects you from going into debt when life happens.
10. Less scrolling, read more books, watch less TV
Reducing passive consumption frees up time for learning, thinking, and creating.
Books compound your knowledge the same way investments compound your money.

My girlfriend got on to me the other day because she doesn’t understand why I can’t just pick eggs out of the carton like a “normal” person. She’s standing there watching me and says, “Why can’t you just go row by row like everyone else?”
I said, “Because no egg should ever know when its time is coming.”
She stared at me for a second, shook her head, and said, “You’re a psycho,” then walked off.
Little does she know…I’ve got a whole tournament system going on. I take two eggs, tap them together, and whichever one doesn’t crack moves on to the next round.
Only the strongest survive. 🥚 💪 😂
Grey hair isn’t aging.
It’s a warning sign.
1 in 4 people go grey before 30.
And the beauty industry knows why… but they won’t tell you.
Here’s the truth (and how to reverse it naturally): 🧵
This tweet here by TG Omori is why I tell people all the time, there are few medical problems in this world as mentally draining, financially destroying and life altering like kidney failure.
Kidney failure will make you spend all your money, sell your properties, borrow money and in the end still kill you - except in a very few cases if you are fortunate to get a new kidney.
Even with a new kidney, you may still die, penniless, in debt and in misery. I will never wish my enemies to have kidney failure. It’s one of the worst calamities that can befall a human being. Except you have battled kidney failure yourself, or you have seen firsthand at a close range someone suffer from it, you will have no clue how deadly and disastrous it is.
Whatever you do,
If you can read this tweet,
Pls do all you can if you can, to never have kidney failure.
I beg you all, especially young people,
Whatever you can do, please kindly stay away from anything that can damage and destroy your kidneys.
AVOID SMOKING of any kind.
Whether it is cigarettes, shisha, weed or anything that pumps your system with smoke.
AVOID EXCESS ALCOHOL use.
Alcohol should only be for moderate infrequent use on special occasions if you have to. Alcohol must never become like water that you drink everyday.
ALWAYS DRINK AT LEAST 2.5litres of water daily. It helps to hydrate your system and flush your kidneys naturally keeping them in a good state.
RUN AWAY AND AVOID street herbal drinks especially the local unlicensed unregulated ones that are just mixed inside someone’s house and sold to you. That “strong erection” “back pain” “system flusher” drink sold to you in traffic to make you last in bed and feel strong will lead you to your grave faster than you think.
MONITOR YOUR BLOOD SUGAR every 3-6months. Undetected and uncontrolled diabetes will damage your kidneys and ruin your kidneys. If you check your random blood sugar and you get >11.1 mmol/l, pls see a doctor. You can buy a blood sugar machine at any chemist near you.
MONITOR YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE every 3-6months. Undetected and uncontrolled hypertension and high blood pressure will damage and destroy your kidneys. If you measure your blood pressure and you get a reading more than 140/90, pls see a doctor. You can buy a blood pressure machine at a chemist near you.
AVOID SELF MEDICATION when you are not well. It is not every little pain that needs painkillers and it is not every diarrhea that needs antibiotics. Every time you take un-prescribed medication especially when you do it repeatedly, you put your kidneys and your liver at a dangerous risk. It’s not everything that needs a tablet or a syrup medication. You are using your own hands to destroy your own kidneys when you self medicate.
MONITOR YOUR WEIGHT please.
There is NO real medical benefit to being overweight. Obesity puts you at risk of heart disease, heart attack, high blood pressure, kidney damage, kidney failure and sudden death. As much as you can and as far as you can, pls kindly go to gym, eat less junk, eat better diet and do what you can to stay fit and healthy.
WATCH YOUR FAMILY. If you have family members who have developed or died from kidney problems, it means the risk is high for you too. In terms of genetics, there is not much you can do, but in terms of the other things I’ve raised above, pls ensure you do them and stay healthy.
On a final note.
People with kidney failure deserve our empathy and compassion because sometimes in life you can do everything right and still suffer a medical calamity like kidney failure.
I hope you learnt something from this little post I’ve just made. Pls kindly help share so that others can also learn something as well. You can help save someone’s life.
My heart goes out to TG,
And I pray that God will help him through this difficult time of his life.
Things you should look out for in cosmetic products you buy (lotion, creams, deodorants, etc):
-Aluminum
-Lead
-Arsenic
-Mercury
-Phthalates
-Parabens
-Hydroquinone
Once you see any of these in a cosmetic product, don’t buy it. Be intentional about what you rub on your skin.
