The Uganda Communications Commission has noted the circumstances that have led to the Nation Media Group's outlets, including NTV Uganda, Spark TV, Dembe FM, and KFM, going off air.

Consultations have begun with the relevant government stakeholders to obtain verified information.

The Commission urges the public to remain calm and allow these consultations to proceed.

This is Junior Dave (JK) Kazoora, a renowned veteran media personality.

Following the abduction and torture of former Kampala Lord Mayor and PFF president Erias Lukwago on June 18, 2026, Kazoora praised CDF Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba for what he described as a "brilliant media strategy" of posting what he called "fake" photographs of a tortured Lukwago in the infamous 'basement', similar to what had earlier happened in the case of Bobi Wine's bodyguard, Eddie Mutwe.

In a scathing interview, Kazoora's aunt, Miria Matembe, strongly criticised Muhoozi, accusing him of behaving like "Idi Amin incarnate" and of taking pride in the abduction and killing of Ugandans.

Soldiers would raid Matembe's home on June 22, 2026, but did not find her because she had reportedly gone out for her routine exercise. Matembe has not been seen since.

On June 26, 2026, Kazoora appealed to the soldiers to release Matembe's body to the family for decent burial if she had been killed. He also appealed to the soldiers, if they were indeed still holding her, not to torture her.

A DNA was sanctioned by Court, through @PoliceUg , and it was done by Government Analytical Laboratory. Two Labs carried out the tests and the results where matching. Note: Nearly a year ago, a DNA was carried out using samples of Kafeero's brother and the results where the same.
