The kind of songs I heard my neighbors' children singing this evening made me realize all over again how much environment matters when raising kids.

What annoyed me most was that their mother heard them singing absolute rubbish, but stayed silent and didn't caution them.

I had to step in, tell all of them to shut up, send the ones in our compound inside, and chase the visiting kids back to their own compound. I thought the mother would object so I could give her a piece of my mind, but she didn't utter a word.

Sometimes we act so childish that we always shy away from the truth, when a guy approaches you as a lady, you already know what he wanted, even if his intentions are real and pure, he will still want to knack, Same goes to ladies too, dy still want your money, so just jettison that thought of they just want my body/money.
Don’t collect anything from a guy/lady if you know deep down you won’t give in, collecting those stuffs has already given you away, it means you’re interesting in whatever they are proposing.

Have you ever met someone who genuinely dislikes the aroma of Jollof rice? Especially party or eatery Jollof?

Ride with me on this wild experience I had today.

So, there’s this fine yellow pawpaw lady I’ve been chatting with online for a while. We finally agreed to meet up for a date today at a popular restaurant in town.

Since I suggested the venue and she agreed, as a sharp guy, I had to dress slick and smell top tier.

We set the time for 11:00 AM, but I got there early. I ordered a drink so my table wouldn't look empty while waiting.

About 15 minutes later, she called that she was outside. I walked out to usher her in.

Hmmm... Na here things begin begin start to wonder me.

After she sat down, I asked what she’d like to have.

She: "Soft drink is fine."
Me: "What about food?"
She: "No, I’m okay. Just a soft drink."

In my mind; Nigerian babe dey reject restaurant food ke? Wonders shall never end o.. But I called the waiter to bring her drink anyway.

As I was trying to kick off conversation, I noticed she pulled out a handkerchief and covered her nose like something was rotting nearby. She looked completely uncomfortable.

In my mind; Wetin dey happen? Abi my perfume no align, or na me dey smell?

Before I could wrap my head around it, she stood up and said, "Excuse me for a minute."

She walked outside. Na so I quickly start to smell my clothes and check my breath to know if I was the problem. 😭

Not up to a minute later, my WhatsApp popped up-
"Please come outside, I’m not comfortable in there."

I rushed out immediately. "Hope no problem? You were covering your nose... am I smelling?"

She said: "Ah, no... The truth is, I can’t stand the aroma of Jollof rice. Eatery Jollof smell irritates me terribly."

My brain did quick calculation; Which kind human being dey hates Jollof rice aroma?

I asked her, "So where would you prefer we go instead?"

She replied: "I don't know o... maybe your place, if you don't mind."

In my mind; I don't mind ke? Oya make we dey go sharply.

I acted reluctant first, scratched my head, and asked, "Are you sure?"

She said: "Yeah, or we can go to my place instead."

Me: "No, no... let’s go to my place."

I rushed inside, paid for the drinks, and we left.

As you all know, the rest of what happened at home is history. 🤐

But my thought after she left was; was that Jollof rice aroma a real allergy, or was it just a smart trick to fast track coming to my house because she wanted something else?

You can never understand women at all. 😄
