A NEW DEMOCRATIC PROCESS BEGINS: NIGERIANS WITH PVCs TO DECIDE WHO EARNS THE MOVEMENT’S ENDORSEMENT
ABUJA NIGERIA SEPTEMBER 2026
The OBEDIENT MOVEMENT WORLDWIDE has formally unveiled its official shortlist of ten presidential aspirants who will proceed to the next stage of the Movement's historic process to determine its preferred Presidential Candidate for the 2027 General Elections.
The announcement follows extensive consultations, internal deliberations and strategic considerations by the National Executive Council (NEC) & the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Obedient Movement Worldwide.
The Movement describes the initiative as a significant step toward deepening citizen participation in Nigeria's democratic process and ensuring that the voices of ordinary Nigerian voters play a decisive role in determining who ultimately receives its presidential endorsement.
For d first time, the Movement is establishing a structured process through which registered Nigerian voters with Permanent Voter's Cards (PVCs) will have an opportunity to participate directly in determining the presidential aspirant they consider most capable of providing effective leadership for Nigeria.
THE OFFICIAL SHORTLIST
The following presidential aspirants have been approved to proceed to the next stage of the endorsement process:
1. Atiku Abubakar — ADC
2. Adewole Adebayo — SDP
3. Omoyele Sowore — AAC
4. Peter Obi — NDC
5. Bola Tinubu — APC
6. Esther Okereke — NRM
7. Peter Agada — YPP
8. Donald Duke — PRP

The inclusion of candidates from different political platforms underscores the Movement's stated intention to place national leadership considerations above partisan boundaries in its endorsement exercise.
THE PRESIDENTIAL INTERVIEW
The shortlisted aspirants will be invited to participate in a series of special presidential interviews to be hosted by the leadership of the Obedient Movement Worldwide in Abuja during September 2026.
The interviews will provide each aspirant with an opportunity to present a comprehensive vision for Nigeria and respond directly to critical questions about the country's present challenges and future direction.
Among the major issues to be examined are:
- National unity and democratic governance
- Economic transformation and job creation
- Youth empowerment and political inclusion
- National security and development
- Education, healthcare and social welfare
- Technology, Artificial Intelligence and the digital economy
- Anti-corruption and institutional reform
- Federalism and effective governance
- Nigeria's role and influence in Africa and the international community
- A credible roadmap for restoring public confidence in government
The Movement believes that Nigerians deserve more than campaign promises and political slogans.
They deserve to hear directly from those seeking the highest office in the land.
They deserve to ask questions.
They deserve to compare visions.
They deserve to examine records.
And, ultimately, they deserve to decide.
THE PEOPLE'S VERDICT
Following the completion of the presidential interview process, the Obedient Movement Worldwide will conduct a public opinion poll restricted to registered Nigerian Permanent Voter's Card (PVC) holders.
This phase will place the decision where the Movement believes it belongs in the hands of the Nigerian people.
The candidate who records the highest number of votes under the approved rules and procedures of the exercise will be declared the Officially Endorsed Presidential Candidate of the Obedient Movement Worldwide for the 2027 General Elections, subject to the Movement's established procedures.
The endorsed candidate will subsequently be presented to the Movement's extensive membership and support network across Nigeria for democratic engagement, mobilisation and civic participation.

A few days ago, I received unsolicited offers of $3 million, along with an invitation to a confidential meeting in London, from a highly placed individual whom I have been informed is connected to #Nigerian President Bola #Tinubu. I believe these offers were an attempt to persuade my firm to end our campaign concerning President Tinubu's alleged #heroin-trafficking records.
I refused the offers, immediately preserved screenshots of the exchanges, and forwarded all the evidence to the U.S. Department of Justice (@TheJusticeDept). It remains shocking to me that, despite the @FBI and #DEA's heroin-trafficking allegations concerning Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, @CNN , the @washingtonpost, and the @nytimes have never reported on this shocking story.
It seems The Washington Post’s slogan, “Democracy Dies in Darkness,” applies only when The Washington Post is scrutinizing President @realDonaldTrump and @Republicans. When it concerns the @JoeBiden Administration blocking the release of drug-trafficking documents concerning an African president, there is silence. True journalism in America is dead.

Following the completion of the presidential interview process, the Obedient Movement Worldwide will conduct a public opinion poll restricted to registered Nigerian Permanent Voter's Card (PVC) holders.
This phase will place the decision where the Movement believes it belongs in the hands of the Nigerian people.
The candidate who records the highest number of votes under the approved rules and procedures of the exercise will be declared the Officially Endorsed Presidential Candidate of the Obedient Movement Worldwide for the 2027 General Elections, subject to the Movement's established procedures.
The endorsed candidate will subsequently be presented to the Movement's extensive membership and support network across Nigeria for democratic engagement, mobilisation and civic participation.

A NEW DEMOCRATIC PROCESS BEGINS: NIGERIANS WITH PVCs TO DECIDE WHO EARNS THE MOVEMENT’S ENDORSEMENT
ABUJA NIGERIA SEPTEMBER 2026
The OBEDIENT MOVEMENT WORLDWIDE has formally unveiled its official shortlist of ten presidential aspirants who will proceed to the next stage of the Movement's historic process to determine its preferred Presidential Candidate for the 2027 General Elections.
The announcement follows extensive consultations, internal deliberations and strategic considerations by the National Executive Council (NEC) & the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Obedient Movement Worldwide.
The Movement describes the initiative as a significant step toward deepening citizen participation in Nigeria's democratic process and ensuring that the voices of ordinary Nigerian voters play a decisive role in determining who ultimately receives its presidential endorsement.
For d first time, the Movement is establishing a structured process through which registered Nigerian voters with Permanent Voter's Cards (PVCs) will have an opportunity to participate directly in determining the presidential aspirant they consider most capable of providing effective leadership for Nigeria.
THE OFFICIAL SHORTLIST
The following presidential aspirants have been approved to proceed to the next stage of the endorsement process:
1. Atiku Abubakar — ADC
2. Adewole Adebayo — SDP
3. Omoyele Sowore — AAC
4. Peter Obi — NDC
5. Bola Tinubu — APC
6. Esther Okereke — NRM
7. Peter Agada — YPP
8. Donald Duke — PRP
9. Seyi Makinde — APM
10. Dan Nwanyawu — ZLP
The inclusion of candidates from different political platforms underscores the Movement's stated intention to place national leadership considerations above partisan boundaries in its endorsement exercise.
THE PRESIDENTIAL INTERVIEW
The shortlisted aspirants will be invited to participate in a series of special presidential interviews to be hosted by the leadership of the Obedient Movement Worldwide in Abuja during September 2026.
The interviews will provide each aspirant with an opportunity to present a comprehensive vision for Nigeria and respond directly to critical questions about the country's present challenges and future direction.
Among the major issues to be examined are:
- National unity and democratic governance
- Economic transformation and job creation
- Youth empowerment and political inclusion
- National security and development
- Education, healthcare and social welfare
- Technology, Artificial Intelligence and the digital economy
- Anti-corruption and institutional reform
- Federalism and effective governance
- Nigeria's role and influence in Africa and the international community

The Obedient Movement Worldwide considers this process to be bigger than the ambitions of individual politicians.
It is about Nigeria.
It is about demonstrating that citizens can participate meaningfully in determining the political direction of their country.
It is about creating a democratic environment in which presidential aspirants are required to present their ideas, defend their records and submit themselves to the scrutiny of the people.

No candidate will be bigger than the Nigerian people.

The Movement further reiterates its commitment to peaceful democratic participation, respect for the rule of law, voter education, electoral integrity, political inclusion and the fundamental principle that every legitimate vote must count.
