Day 3 marked the conclusion of the Lightning Payment Integration Masterclass.
We had @TChileta lead an in depth session on @BtcpayServer, taking participants through a comprehensive deep dive into self hosted Bitcoin payment infrastructure.
This session covered a wide range of practical topics, including:
• Setting up and deploying BTCPay Server
• Understanding self hosted payment processing
• Integrating BTCPay with websites and applications
• Managing invoices and payment flows
• Connecting Lightning for faster payments
• Real world use cases for merchants and developers
It was a detailed and implementation focused session that helped participants understand what it truly means to run sovereign payment infrastructure.
A powerful way to close out the masterclass.
Day 1 of the Lightning Payment Integration Masterclass is complete!
We had the pleasure of hosting @tobi_bams, Co Founder and CTO of @mavapay, who led an in depth session on Merchant Payment Integration using MavaPay.
It was a truly hands on session, focused on practical implementation rather than just theory as participants were guided through real workflows, gaining a clear understanding of how to integrate Lightning payments into their applications and business processes.
The energy, engagement, and curiosity in the room made it a powerful start to the masterclass.
Looking forward to Day 2. 🚀
Idea: Rethinking certification in Web3 education
Instead of PDFs
Why not issue POAPs (on-chain certificates)? 🎓
Proof of learning = verifiable, collectible, and owned. 🤔
Why this matters for Africa:
❌ Expensive bank transfers
❌ Slow cross-border payments
❌ Limited access
✅ Lightning fixes this.
I got some cash during this session 👍
Microtransactions + global payments are now possible.
Lightning Network is a game changer for Africa:
⚡️Instant payments
💸 Near-zero fees
🌍 Borderless transactions
This unlocks real opportunities for creators, developers & Web3 builders.
