@egbokavictory_ Swap him for Aig or Herbert and they will praise her for her courage cos that is what the bank need. People who are not intimidated or scared because of a bigger personality.
Those guys even expect you to have the same mentality as young bankers on the Wall Street.
@tundeleye Same for Herbert, Seyi, Vitor etc. It simply means you both need to double down on your understanding of the Conpany policy.
First name basis applies to CFO, CEO, Chairman, Director or bank teller. (Top to bottom)
Let me say this.. There is NO DISCRETION in abiding with Policy and Law.
If the policy states "Call people by their first name" you have to abide.
Any policy that require you to use your discretion is a joke and not a policy ☹️
It is amusing. Imagine being drilled for perhaps half a year to six months to refer to colleagues by their first name, only for the founding CEO (who may have started the policy) to take offence at being called by his first name. Corporate Nigeria can be its own joke sometimes.
@AA__official Beyond the finance space, for someone who is trying to build a global or even pan African bank, isn’t it easier to stick to first name. Else he need to correct them in USA, UK, UAE, France, Congo , Tanzania etc. Man really messed up.
Lol.
I know the side 80% of Nigerians will take because once it involves money and power we lose our sense.
But if a company policy is first name basis; then everyone has the right to call you by your first name.
@Mimi_yakigar Even you!!! Do you know what the company policy says? Or what was instilled in them throughout their training (First name)
So why is chairman acting like he is above the law
We asked to stronger institutions but when it is billionaire big boy Tony, we should sweep policy aside
