As someone yg udah pernah tinggal diluar and experienced Islamophobia firsthand, I think the phenomenon is very different outside Indonesia vs. here.

Diluar tuh Islamophobia usually tied to anti-Arab sentiment, immigration anxieties, and stereotypes linking Muslims to terrorism

In Indo however, a lot of what people call “Islamophobia” is actually frustration toward how religion is sometimes practiced socially and politically. Many people are reacting to forced collectivism, moral policing, or the expectation that everyone should conform to a particular interpretation of faith

Personally, I believe faith should be an individual choice. The problem starts when religion moves from guiding oneself to regulating everyone else.
