Yes, Europe’s defense is powered by Ukrainian “housewives.”
Ukrainian women are indeed an essential part of Ukraine’s war effort and of Europe’s security.
They have stepped with courage into many areas once seen as male-dominated, bringing energy, discipline, and determination.
Across the Defense Forces and the defense industry, they are driving positive change and helping develop new solutions guided by the most important standard of all – effectiveness on the battlefield.
And they are doing this while raising our next generation and caring for their families under wartime pressures.
I am honored to regularly meet women serving both on the front line and in defense production.
Together with men, Ukrainian women are defending not only their homes, but also peace and stability across Europe.
The people of Ukraine deserve not only utmost respect but to be heard – and learned from.

This was the best negotiation with the Russians during the entire war. It was conducted by Ukrainian border guard Roman Hrybov on February 24, 2022.
Slava Ukraini! 🇺🇦
Today, I learned the terrible news. Our colleague, journalist Victoria Roshchyna, died in Russian captivity.
I have a question. What did they do with her? What could have been done to a young girl to make her die? I call on all journalistic organizations from different countries to officially demand an answer from Russia.
Vika, you were so brave. I'm so sorry we didn't free you on time…

I believe that we can preserve memories and spread knowledge about Polina Raiko. We should spread the beauty despite the tragedy, as her whole life. For example, add her art to your home – https://t.co/VvH8f6kJpf

Painted in 1906, 'Young Girl with a Yellow Headscarf,' by the Ukrainian artist Vladimir Burliuk reflects a very specific moment in time as artists across Europe began to experiment with new forms of expression. Burliuk associated different colours with varying emotions in a manner reminiscent of Kandinsky's synesthesia. The surface of his pictures can be revealing; he was known to include mud and sand to a canvas and then painted over it if he thought it wasn't sufficiently characterful.
«Vasyl Stus spent his childhood and youth in Donetsk /…/ a city that has been called Russian for several years by Russian propaganda. A city that, says that propaganda, does not have anything common with Ukrainian culture»
