the hanging masses are attached to the yo-yo looking thing on the right...notice how the yo-yo doesn’t not fall like the masses, but instead spins. that’s b/c the tension in the rope is equal to its force of weight, making it unable to accelerate downwards but instead spin

have you ever made a half-Atwood machine, added an incline plane with a steel ball on top, and wondered: what mass of the hanging weight will make it so that the ball does not roll off the plane? we did. so we took matters into our own hands and found out les goo .
yay! using knowledge of projectile motion, AP physics students calculated the exact angle to successfully hit the water bottle while at the same not killing mr goodman!!!!
if u look into the telescope when it’s pointed at the sun, ur eyes would quite literally burn, so we projected an image of the sun onto the box. sometimes u can even see sunspots. Bc earth is rotating, the image will MOVE, so then we can roughly calculate earth’s rotational speed
dropping a steel and ping pong ball to study air resistance. each student films the drop in slow motion at different increments of the marked wall (we will never tell u how we marked it.) evan’s doing a nice t-pose and nina’s on the ground behind nick filming the point of impact
