@UABoysSoccer Thank you to all these young men for providing such examples to their parents of how to compete together. You have made memories of lifetime for all of us as well.
September is #SepsisAwarenessMonth. Sadly, in the 20 seconds it takes you to read this post, another person in the U.S. will be diagnosed with #sepsis. For those 1.7 million people each year, rapid recognition & treatment are crucial to survival. https://t.co/VVAhzIInbL
One of the 2020 Sepsis Heroes who will be recognized at our virtual gala on 9/17 is @OhioHospitals! Will you join us for this free celebratory evening to honor those who’ve made significant contributions to sepsis awareness and education? Sign up today: https://t.co/uuxzMWGBA0.
@gbosslet@DrQuinnCapers4 I am thinking back to when I applied for med school. I doubt any of my undergrad professors could comment on my ability to handle emergencies.
Have you registered for the virtual #SepsisAllianceSummit yet? Join @HalliePrescott of @umichmedicine and sepsis survivor @keeleemoseley for a Day 2 session focusing on #sepsis and #COVID19. Learn more and register for this free conference by visiting https://t.co/2TrDnLRPt8.
@vitaincerta @iwashyna @KatieHauschildt If we are truly aspiring to be patient/family-centered and our scheduling practices are getting in the way....also, noting that the majority of critical care is delivered outside of AMCs where there is likely greater ability to do this
@vitaincerta @iwashyna @KatieHauschildt Ultimately, a clinician is not required to provide care she considers inappropriate. A surgeon doesn’t have to operate. But we can’t abandon the patient either. I wonder why we don’t hand such patients off to willing colleagues more often.
