@GuyTalksFinance You are talking in absolutes. It depends where you live. There are many cities where 450k doesn’t buy a starter home.

In 2013, we bought our first house for 115k (2bed/2bath). Sold it in 2018 for $175k when our kid turned 2 and purchased out next home for $225k. Now worth $325k
