Who is the White House Correspondents' Dinner Shooter?

The suspect has been identified as 31-year-old Cole Thomas Allen from Los Angeles. A California Institute of Technology graduate, he worked as a part-time instructor and had an interest in game development. In December 2024, he was named “Teacher of the Month” at the tutoring company C2 Education.

Allen donated $25 to Kamala Harris’s 2024 presidential campaign. He has reportedly admitted that his targets were Trump administration officials, though his exact motive remains unclear. Authorities say he was a registered guest at the Washington Hilton, acted alone, and had no accomplices. He is scheduled to appear in federal court on April 27 facing charges including using a firearm in a violent crime and assaulting a federal agent. Additional charges may follow.
