@WallStreetApes Need to know what the cost per kWh is to judge this properly. I in TX, just got a $450 bill last month - pretty high, but I pay just $0.125 per kwh. Not bad for 3,500 kWh during a heat wave. It has gone up though, when I first moved here 10 years ago, it was 9 cents.

For a Model 3 (4mi/kWh) to be cheaper to drive 300mi charging must be < $0.35 kWh. What are home electricity rates in CA now?

Rivian Efficiency (according to google)
Quad Motor ~1.8 - 2.2 mi per kWh | Drive 300mi = $92
Dual motor ~2.2 - 3.0 mi per kWh | Drive 300mi = $70

If Gas = $5 / Gallon + drive 300 miles on:
$92 = 300 miles @ 16.4MPG
$70 = 300 @ 21.3MPG
