The trajectory of Erehisu, a symbol of mutual understanding, parallels, complicity, dreams, true self, and admiration for #erehisuday#エレヒス
~ a Thread ~
Historia acted desperately after losing Ymir because Ymir made Historia revolve around her, almost as she did with her followers, embodying the same archetype of "savior" and center of the universe. It's not something to brag about that she couldn't function without Ymir around+
I don’t think their relationship was toxic, but it’s a fact that you can’t deny that both Historia and Ymir had problems that they projected onto each other. And the panel that wasn’t adapted for the anime only serves to show this rather than something we should use for shippwars
Ymir was the >first< person who knew Historia's true self and encouraged her to be selfish. Obviously she became madly attached to her. But then Ymir run away and Historia was left lost without an identity. Guess the gender of who helped her break free from Ymir? +
What was Mikasa's relevance in any season prior to 4? She was never developed with Ymir unlike Historia. Ymir had already let king fritz go when she didn't follow the order of Zeke, a member of the royal family. Do you know who else didn't follow the will of a king? Historia. (+)
@obviouslyhisu Did you fuck off after reading Historia’s arc lmao. Mikasa’s life and development + EreMika’s relationship is what freed Founder Ymir, who is the human representative of a person’s biggest chain in their heart which the story wants to encourage them to let go.
“Small part of the story” and you’re talking about the girl who is part of the royal family and protagonist of the central season that integrates the entire lore. “Mikasa’s the whole story” and you're talking about the girl who does nothing but be a spectator in eren's life.
Mikasa’s heroine title is pure decoration, in practice the actual y-axis of the plot is Historia Reiss. The story revolves around her independent journey, she has a symmetrical connection to the hero, the mysteries of the walls and Ymir depend on her decision & she saves everyone
@115115115115m It must be bc Mikasa is only there to spout catchphrases, to act violently because she's the strongest of them all or smth, and do nothing the entire season. She just says eren’s name and worries about him, doesn't move the plot forward. Only useful for selling the product lol
@draculiah Obviously that was a joke, but the point is that armin really drives the plot and is relevant to the narrative, unlike the supposed heroine.
@gchile12 He demoted Historia in season 4 to give her role to Mikasa. That's why only one of them stopped being “moe” and had an arc in the season prior to 4, which connects her to Ymir.
Mikasa has no development or writing beyond being an appealing archetype. The only thing she serves for is marketing and even armin is more female-led than she is. Can't we hate a character anymore just because of how poorly they were written?
@Kelteos00 If it had been Eren kissing Mikasa's hand and having that vision of the future their discourse would be different. Anyone who says that kiss ruined Eren's life either didn't understand the anime or is just resentful because Historia was responsible for it and not Mikasa
Without the memories of the future that Eren acquired by touching Historia’s hand he wouldn't have been able to manipulate Grisha into giving him the Attack Titan btw. The rumbling wouldn't have happened, Eren would have died on his first mission and Paradis would be doomed.
“Being forced into those ‘roles’ they never wished for left Historia and Eren extremely perplexed. Their confusion and mental distress was in no small part due to their desire to answer to the expectations of those estranged parents” — guidebook
@BasedRudyS I read the first chapter and it has potential, I can see that you're very dedicated to the way some scenes are portrayed. I liked mikasa's conversation with loise. If you wrote it just to get a concrete idea of the ending of AOT, I encourage you to continue, but I recommend (+)
