Anestis Tricholidis🇬🇷🇳🇴 (2010) - The next great defender in Norway?

•At just 15 years old, Anestis Tricholidis is making waves in the Norwegian 2nd tier, having started the last four league fixtures, highlighting his extreme development.

• Standing at 190cm at just 15, Tricholidis combines an imposing physical presence with advanced technical ability, already showcasing the composure and tactical awareness of a player far beyond his years.

• On the ball, he exhibits excellent distribution and a wide passing range, capable of breaking opposition lines and initiating attacks from deep. His reading of the game is mature, with an exceptional overview that allows him to anticipate threats and orchestrate defensive positioning effectively.

• Coupled with his strength and agility, he presents a rare blend of athleticism and intelligence that makes him a dominant figure in duels, both aerially and on the ground. Tricholidis’s performances have not gone unnoticed. Top Scandinavian sides and several Italian clubs are reportedly monitoring his rapid development.

• The Norwegian Football Federation has already engaged in discussions with the youngster, via Brede Hangeland, to encourage him to commit his international future to Norway over Greece, reflecting the high regard in which he is held.

• Tricholidis is of Greek decent, with him having been born in the country to Greek parents. Tricholidis moved to Norway at the age of four meaning most of his life having been spent in Norway. Tricholidis has committed his immediate future to Sandnes Ulf, as he recently signed a contract extension keeping him at the club through 2029, a clear statement of intent for both the club and the player.

• If his current trajectory continues, Tricholidis could very well be on the path to becoming one of Norway’s next elite defenders, if he declares for the country.
