I’ve always loved joining commencements––the culmination of years of hard work and sacrifice. Even if we can’t get together in person this year, Michelle and I are excited to celebrate the nationwide Class of 2020 and recognize this milestone with you and your loved ones.
A4: Staying connected with one another to be reminded that “This Too Shall Pass”. Taking in the growth and learning that is being experienced, as well as coming together and staying positive! #sw5602#MacroSW
A4: Practice self-care! If we ourselves are not in a good place mentally or physically or emotionally during a crisis especially, we cannot be engaged in our efforts! Focus on what your organization does well and be patient with yourself going out of comfort zone
#MacroSW#SW5602
Q4: How can we remain optimistic and engaged in our efforts as an organization, when the future is uncertain? Bring it back to basics, focus on the mission/impact, and reimagine ways to support the people we serve. Resources might change, but the mission remains! #MacroSW
A4: We must remember the situation is temporary although we may have to adjust to a new normal the individuals and staff are looking to organizational leaders and stakeholders for guidance. We are leaders for a reason. We must be optimistic. #MacroSW
@UBSSW Yes! One of the silver linings of this crisis is that we are engaging in technology and alternative resources to meet the needs of our clients and communities in ways that we had not done before! #MacroSW
A2 Like many people have suggested, getting creative! We have the technology to do virtual events. I think playing games like Jackbox or a virtual card tournament or poker tournament could be a lot of fun! Prizes could definitely be virtual gift cards too :) #MacroSW#SW5602
A2: Virtual events like virtual happy hours, card tournaments or, even a scavenger hunt are all ideas that can be pulled off using technology. Keep it engaging and fun!

A1: I think that having the thought of asking about their well being first and providing ways of assistance, then ask what they would be willing to donate to help others. Being intentional about their needs first. #sw5602#MacroSW
@BrillhartHannah Exactly! We often use the phrase "#MacroSW (insert your cause/mission) does not because of COVID, our clients need our assistance and services more than ever. Thank you for your continued support"
For older adults, animals may be neglected when the person is unable to take care of themselves. Pets can also be abused by caregivers as a way of controlling or punishing the elderly person. #MacroSW
A3: PART 1 As exemplified by this chat, many people think of their pets as a part of the family but there is a gap in legal representation; laws vary by state and some are far behind in addressing violence against animals. #MacroSW
A3.A3.We need to promote Animal + Human= Family, Advocacy. The attitude of a pet is just a pet must be transformed to an attitide & inclusion of a pet as part of the family dynamic. Animals serve a vital purpose for many... love, help & companionship.

A2: My dog is defiantly able to sense the emotions of others. I would love to incorporate this into my practice one day. I have volunteered at a non profit called Equest Therapy where they use horses for people with disabilities. I would love to learn more! #SW5602#macrosw
