@troyhunt @home_assistant Ensure that the attachment URL is open to the outside world. The Notification service from apple needs to be able to access the image. The cert also needs to be from a publicly trusted authority, it wont work with a private cert.

Accepting a lower level of privacy, is the cost you pay for a system that just works.
You should not base product decisions from sales info.
