I don’t mind getting older, and I’m sorry you have an issue with that.
Since leaving the show, I’ve been in many projects. 3 movies in Australia, New Zealand and one in South America. The NZ film was one of the most critically acclaimed thrillers of 2021. I’ve been the lead in 2 respective television shows, in Australia for one of the best shows I’ve ever had the pleasure of being a part of (with the BBC) and another here in North America. I’m gearing up for Season 2. I’ve guest starred multiple times and (apart from Covid when nobody worked) I haven’t really been without work. Some of us don’t use social media as much, so I don’t advertise myself and what I do. I could be better about that. I won’t apologize because I love my children more than being on my phone telling folks like you everything I do.
I apologize that it offends you that we’re not aging to your satisfaction and that we are ‘eating the same job’. The truth is, we love our TVD fans and it’s an opportunity to see the world and say thank you to beautiful people who make our lives possible. I have zero shame about that.
I’d tell you to be kinder… but the truth is, your comments were just a display of ignorance and vulgarity.
