49 days of data! I can't believe my RDI was still pinging!
Such a smooth recovery and we where joined by a cheeky lobster hiding away in the bedframe. Lobster and it's crab friends rejoined the sea while we headed back to get that data downloaded!
@oceansciencetec @PlymUni
Such an amazing fieldweek on St Martins in the Isles of Scilly with @PlymUni @oceansciencetec!
A week of Sunsets, perfect beaches, open ocean, and of course some #Oceanography!
Let my final year of #university commence.....
Out and about again with @oceansciencetec @PlymUni utilising vessle 'Dolphin' to collect multiple CTD with optical backscatter water column profiles.
Hopefully I'm becoming set for quite the dissertation write up π€

It was great to meet both @Tedrob and @DannielleEager this last week aboard @RVFalconSpirit. It was so interesting hearing about their projects and great to be able to lend a hand with their PhD data collection out at Eddystone reef.
Great couple of days out on Falcon Spirit at Eddystone reef collecting combined fisheries acoustics and current data. Dropped off a bedframe for a dissertation project on the way back as well! @DannielleEager @ClareEmbling@RVFalconSpirit
Today it was my turn.
Aboard @RVFalconSpirit I deployed my MSI bedframe mooring, housing an RDI 600kHz ADCP.
It's so exciting to get my dissertation project underway and I'm looking forward seeing what the data has in store for me!
@oceansciencetec @PlymUni
Now that's a crane!
Another successful recovery with @Partrac! A Nortek Signature250 off the west coast of Orkney, in uncharacteristically calm conditions.
I would say the conditions have been very kind to me thus far!

A busy day out on site with @Partrac in the The Clyde. A textbook equipment recovery after a 30 day deployment..... And to top it off the conditions were practically Mediterranean π

The start of another busy period supporting OS206 fieldwork by deploying a range of ADCP bed frames and working in partnership with @NortekNews@PlymUniMI @oceansciencetec @PlymUni
Out with @PlymUni@MarineSciPlym aboard @RVFalconSpirit deploying multiple ADCP moorings (subsurface and bedframe) excited for the next week of field work!
Yesterday was a beautiful day to be out surveying Perranporth beach with @pu_cprg
It was my fist survey with this group and it was fantastic to be out learning in a hands on role. I look forward to joining the team again with their continuing work. @MarineSciPlym#marinescience
Sailing the south coast of Cornwall/Devon is producing the goods, so far sightings of multiple pods of Common dolphins and even a small pod of Harbour porpoise feeding along with gannets. Can anyone recommend where I can log my #Marinemammal#sightings?
Fantastic! I was only thinking about more environmentally friendly ideas myself yesterday whilst at the beach, then I came across this. It's great to see people being so creative coming up with innovative ideas to provide the public with more environmentally friendly options π
A little project of my daughterβs; to design and make a plastic free body board that rides as close as possible to a commercial foam one while not being too complex or expensive. This design uses a recycled cardboard honeycomb inner for buoyancy and strength with a plywood shell.
A fantastic Saturday spent with @ORCA_web learning how to survey #cetaceans. So much information to digest before hopefully joining them on one of their #surveys in the coming year. #plymbio
Marine Biology and Oceanography Field Week Summed up in a Video! A great week of exploring Plymouth sound! Thanks everyone! Yes...that is the instrumental version of βPlay that funky musicβ I was not sure what tune to put under a uni video... #plymbio

Day 5 of Field Week! We went to Mount Batten on a well rainy day to find trends in #gastropod diversity in relation to shore height and rock pool size. We also found some amazing starfish, gobies and crabs. Great day to end the field week! #plymbio
