🔴According to a statement released by the Baha’i International Community (BIC), #PeyvandNaimi was arrested on January 8 on false charges of instigating unrest for his participation in the January protests. While in prison Naimi has been subjected to torture, including enduring two mock hangings - a form of psychological torture which is prohibited under international law. He was also pressured into making a false confession, which was broadcast on State TV.

🔸Peyvand Naimi is currently being held in solitary confinement in Kerman Prison. Peyvand Naimi has not been afforded his due process rights, including a trial, sentence, nor provided with evidence to justify the false charges behind his arrest, according to BIC.

🔸Furthermore, his charges are marred with serious contradictions, including the IRGC alleging that Peyvand Naimi was involved in an attack against Basij forces on the evening of January 8hours AFTER he had already been detained, among other issues.
