Looking for some literature where regions of the water column have been excluded due to the T/S relationships exhibited.

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations? Can be papers or textbooks

@DanJonesOcean I'd also add make sure you quote or explain the procedure properly rather than 'see x' if your work builds on others. Multiple times I have not actually been able to find what is being reference in that paper, making it very difficult to follow the method.
