I have people qting me saying I'm now right wing for being upset about this.
When they don't get their way, they escalate. It starts with "being loud in discord" and when that doesn't work they "call the mayor" and start giving death threats. This does not end well.

I don't agree with every political view of hers AND I think giving in to pressure to remove her is a mistake. It might seem like the easiest way to avoid "controversy", but it makes your event look disorganized, shows you're easy to bully, and your sponsors end up taking that heat too. Also, looking at that ratio you've brought controversy to your own door by your own doing.

This is why I'm wary of corporate sponsors at cons. They become another group you have to keep happy, and suddenly you're making decisions around them instead of the people actually attending.

Once people figure out they can pressure your sponsors to get you to change course, you've handed them leverage over your event.

And when you're putting sponsors ahead of attendees who bought tickets to see her and showed REAL excitement to have her there, you've lost the plot.

When groups learn what your weak points are (sponsors) and can bully them, your event stops being yours. It becomes a tool to swing around and become YOUR liability... cause based on socials right now, your event is going to need to do crisis communication and your sponsors are being targeted.
