[NEWS] Golden Boys, the organizer of Coachella, had been continuing negotiations to book #BTS as the headliner for the 2027 festival, but it is reported that the talks recently fizzled out and broke down.

It is reported that Paul Tollett, CEO of Golden Voices, put in considerable effort, including personally visiting BTS's comeback performance at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul last March, but ultimately failed to reach an agreement.

The cancellation of BTS's appearance is a painful blow for Coachella when looking at recent figures in the global concert market.

From BTS's perspective, there is nothing to be disappointed about. This is because, much like the "The City" project which transforms entire tour cities into complex cultural spaces, they have already far surpassed the impact of large-scale festivals involving multiple lineups and are a massive ecosystem in themselves capable of creating city-scale festivals on their own.
