@SkyNews Would the government like to prosecute liverpool local authority for my child's 5 years of missed education due to deliberate mishandling of their EHCP?
@bbc5live I'm willing to bet that there is not a single SEND parent in this country that has not had to fight tooth and nail for years to get their child what they are LEGALLY ENTITLED TO.
@bbc5live Child is 14 years old. Autism, adhd, pda, trauma, unable to attend school at all. Zero education for 4 years. No learning disability, now gets 1 hour tuition per week.
@bbc5live If you are granted an ehcp they are often poorly written, not adhered to and often name unsuitable schools. If you want a new school you have to go to tribunal. Tribunal wait is 1 year.
@bbc5live The fight is never ending and exhausting. It is so tempting to give up but that's what they want us to do. My child is legally entitled to an education and local authorities are blatantly breaking the law every day.
@romankemp Often schools are the CAUSE of mental health illness, especially amongst neurodiverse children. We must address the cause as well as providing solutions.
