🚁 Mountain Bike Rescue in Laguna Niguel 🚁

Today, OCFA crews responded to a remote incident after a mountain biker suffered a lower extremity injury on Itchy Sticks Trail in Laguna Niguel.

🚒 Quick Knockdown in San Clemente 🚒

This afternoon, Truck 59 arrived on scene to find a trailer fully engulfed in flames in San Clemente. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control.

A big thank you to the multiple 911 callers who promptly reported the fire.

Memorial Day Rescue in Black Star Canyon

On Memorial Day, OCFA’s helicopter rescue team responded to reports of two hikers stranded on a steep rock face in Black Star Canyon.

A few weeks ago, #Academy63 recruits participated in Wildland Training in Gypsum Canyon, where they practiced essential skills such as progressive hose lays. Every training exercise brings them one step closer to graduation!

Congratulations to Firefighter Paramedic Paul Kozik on completing the demanding @CAL_FIRE Dozer Academy in Ione! He now begins the next step in the process —completing his Initial Attack Task Book to become a certified Heavy Fire Equipment Operator (HFEO).

Yorba Linda- OCFA on scene of a structure fire on the 17900 Block of La Estrada. Fire knocked down in 15 min. Isolated to garage. 29 FFs from OCFA, Brea & Anaheim FD. Investigation underway. No injuries reported.

The Garden Grove incident is transitioning out of the emergency response phase. Beginning Friday, 5/29, at 8 a.m., the OC Health Care Agency, as the County’s Certified Unified Program Agency, will take the lead as the oversight authority for site cleanup and waste removal.

The safety zone around the involved tank has now been reduced to 150 feet due to continued stabilization of conditions.

All roads that were closed as a result of the Garden Grove hazardous materials incident are now open.

Unified Incident Command is pleased to report that the Garden Grove hazardous materials incident has been stabilized and all evacuation orders have been lifted.

Through the coordinated efforts of fire personnel, hazardous materials specialists, law enforcement, public health officials, and environmental specialists, all residents have safely returned home.
