Some of our OCFT Executive Council members attended the New Teacher Orientation today to tell them why they should join OCFT and keep up our 100% membership goal!
Why do we oppose Issue 1?
📢Issue 1 would end majority rule: 40% of voters veto the will of 60% of voters for citizen initiatives
📢Issue 1 takes away freedoms we've had since 1912
📢Issue 1 gives special interests the winning advantage
Protect our power– Vote No on August 8th.
Let me be crystal clear: If Issue 1 passes, increasing the required county signatures from 44 to 88, it would utterly annihilate grassroots Ohio groups' ability to ever place amendments on the ballot again.
Vote NO on Issue 1.
Want to get in the photo line with @johnlegend? Just retweet this with #VoteNoIssue1 and we will pick 2 people who can make the Hamilton County Early Vote rally to get their photo with the Legend himself after the rally. Let’s do this, #Ohio!
