🗓️ The largest hydropower project in #Africa turns one: the #GERD was inaugurated on 9 September 2025!
🇪🇹 Today marks the first anniversary of one of the most complex and ambitious infrastructure projects in the world, built by #Webuild and capable of doubling #Ethiopia’s energy production.
⚡ Standing 170 m high and stretching 1,800 m, the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam can generate an amount of energy equivalent to that produced by three nuclear power plants.

Day of Harmony
Ethiopia is shaping her bright future with her own hands, guided by indigenous values! By expanding on these generational values and our philosophy of Medemer (synergy), we have laid an unshakable foundation for multinational unity. Through concrete actions from launching the historic national dialogue to implementing human-centred corridor developments, volunteer programs, and the Green Legacy initiative; we have proven that unity transforms shared narratives into collective success. We are not just building an inclusive, economically self-reliant nation; we are unlocking the collective potential of all Ethiopians as we march together toward prosperity.
One People, Great Nation, Ethiopia!

Day of Break Through
Our ancestors preserved Ethiopia's borders with their blood and bones, leaving us a great nation. Today, we ensure true sovereignty through a historic path free from dependency. By shifting from importing wheat to becoming Africa's leading producer, we have saved millions of dollars. Through the "Yelemat Trufat" initiative and the "Made In Ethiopia" initiative, we are ensuring food security, expanding industries, and creating jobs. By implementing decisive macroeconomic reforms that were previously considered untouchable, we are building our nation's economy on a solid foundation. These victories prove that Ethiopia marches forward resiliently against internal and external challenges, carrying immense hope for the coming year.

The Day of Resilience
When we think of Ethiopia, it is impossible to envision our holistic transition to greatness without first honoring our courageous security forces, who stand resilient day and night, to guard the country against adversaries. It is for this reason that on this Day of Resilience, we commemorate with the highest national honor the historic sacrifices of our heroes, who laid down their lives for the continuity and sovereignty of our nation-state.
Today, driven by its own knowledge and the capability of its children, our nation has succeeded in manufacturing advanced technological assets, including Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs/Drones), modern armored military vehicles, heavy weaponry and artillery, as well as ammunition, within its own defense industries. As this strategic self-reliance serves as the firm bedrock of our people's peace and comprehensive economic growth, we shall secure Ethiopia’s sustainable prosperity by reaffirming our national resilience through tangible development and a formidable defense capability!

Day of Renewal
From Words to Action: Ethiopia’s Vision Anchored in Concrete Reality!
Yesterday we declared our rise; today, we live it. Our resurgence is no longer a vision; it is carved into the GERD, the Corridor developments, the Bishoftu Airport Mega project and our bold Macro-Economic Reforms. This transformation directly elevates daily life, bringing seamless urban mobility, vast employment, and a grand vision that anchors bright hope for our children's tomorrow. The foundation is laid, the momentum is unstoppable, and there is absolutely no turning back. In this historic journey of resurgence we have begun, we will accelerate our development momentum to elevate Ethiopia's rise to sustainable prosperity. Ethiopia builds, rises, and conquers!
