The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the Occupied Palestinian Territory mobilizes and coordinates assistance to people in need.
Today, Humanitarian Coordinator @RamizAlakbarov took diplomats to Jenin, #WestBank. Amid a particularly violent olive harvest season, they spoke with Palestinians affected by settler attacks and Israeli restrictions. He called for dignified access, protection and accountability.
Displaced by settler violence, a family of six is starting again in a prefab house provided through humanitarian support .
They are among more than 6,500 #WestBank Palestinians displaced by settlers since 2023.
Their old home remains inaccessible. 🔊 Hear from them.
Today in Khan Younis #Gaza, we visited low-lying displacement sites at risk of being flooded when heavy rains begin. We're helping some relocate voluntarily and securing proper drainage for those staying. But to respond at scale, more funding and fewer restrictions are critical.
By the official start of the olive harvest last week, nearly 200 related settler attacks had already caused casualties or property damage, incl. to 2,500 trees and saplings. The entire 2025 season saw 185 such incidents. Pickers are receiving support, but they must be protected.
Attacks affecting civilians continue. In #Gaza, hundreds of thousands risk flooding. In the #WestBank, nearly 150 settler attacks linked to the olive harvest since last month have left 1 dead, 95 injured, and nearly 2,500 trees and saplings damaged. More: https://t.co/IFQVAivqyh

Nearly 400,000 cubic metres of accumulated solid waste have been cleared and transferred from the historic #Firas_Market in the heart of #Gaza City.
The clearance marks an important step in addressing Gaza’s solid waste crisis and reducing associated public health risks, while creating the conditions to bring one of Gaza City’s largest commercial hubs back into use.
More than 200 merchants and vendors can return, helping reconnect local supply chains.
Reviving Firas Market is part of @UNDP’s broader early recovery efforts to restore livelihoods, economic activity and the spaces communities rely on every day.
Yet Gaza’s solid waste crisis remains immense.
Thanks to Germany, the occupied Palestinian territory Humanitarian Fund (oPt HF), the European Union through ECHO, and Belgium, whose support made this possible.
Funding shortfalls and restrictions are reducing water and meal production in #Gaza as families prepare for the rainy season. In the #WestBank, demolitions and settler violence remain high, disrupting education and driving displacement. Read more: https://t.co/ZPU1Xidrhg
A roof. A radio. A trusted voice. A new skill. A safe space.
Across Gaza, Haiti, Madagascar, DRC and Nigeria, teachers are helping children keep learning through crisis – with support from OCHA-managed humanitarian funds.
Meet five of them. 👇
The world’s most overlooked crises cannot become forgotten crises.
I've approved $160M from the UN Global Emergency Fund, CERF for 12 underfunded crises, with $10M set aside so people with disabilities aren't left behind.
87m people to reach. No time to waste.
Ahead of the olive harvest, livelihoods are at risk as grove owners in the #WestBank are discovering damage from settler attacks. September recorded about 1,500 trees and saplings vandalized in that context. This video is from Area A, where such incidents were once less common.
Since 2023, over 6,500 Palestinians have been displaced due to settler attacks and access restrictions in the #WestBank, with 49 communities fully displaced. On top of casualties and other destruction, 88,000 trees and saplings have been damaged. Full map: https://t.co/QtZg5mv7XY
In one week, #WestBank demolitions displaced more than triple the 2026 weekly average. Israeli operations disrupted essential services for thousands. In #Gaza, funding shortfalls & restrictions threaten health care and rainy season readiness. Full report: https://t.co/OFAwt7qVAk
In #Gaza, humanitarian partners are helping people prepare for the rains. But efforts remain severely constrained by funding shortages and restrictions on the entry of essential materials.
In #Gaza, some 330,000 children are attending 200 UNICEF-supported learning centres, while many schools still standing are used as shelters for displaced families.
Relief efforts continue despite funding shortfalls and Israeli restrictions.

Rescue, repairs and efforts to help people relocate from flood-prone areas in #Gaza are held back by restrictions on machinery, engine oil and other items. In the #WestBank, over 4,300 Palestinians have been displaced so far in 2026. Full update: https://t.co/D2aLaeuqSb
Today, @RamizAlakbarov allocated $2M from the Humanitarian Fund @OCHAFunds to support uninterrupted fuel provision to health facilities in #Gaza. A sustainable way forward requires Israeli approvals for solar panels and local electricity production.
