At HOPE Center, our outreach coordinators are the ๐งก of our mission, working alongside our valued partners in law enforcement, public health, social services, and non-profits to transition individuals from homelessness to stability.
Their efforts ensure that when someone is ready to take that critical next step, the resources and support are already in place. This collaborative approach is what drives the impactful results we achieve, transforming lives through persistent, compassionate engagement. ๐ค

๐ At HOPE Center, our success isnโt just in the numbersโitโs in the direct engagement we have with individuals, one person at a time.
As we make contact with the same individuals over time, we build trust and help them lower the barriers theyโve put up, making them more open to the services we offer. By meeting individuals where they are, whether itโs providing shelter referrals, assisting with housing documentation, or simply having a conversation, we ensure that help is not just available, but truly accessible.
This hands-on approach is what drives the impactful results we see, turning data into real, lasting change. ๐งก

โ๏ธ Our dispatch line is the critical first step in connecting those in need with essential resources. Our dedicated dispatch team works tirelessly to manage non-emergency, homelessness-related calls, ensuring that the right help reaches those who need it most.
When community members or individuals experiencing homelessness call in, our dispatchers prioritize, assign, and resolve each situation by deploying outreach teams directly to the point of need. This approach allows us to deliver immediate support, whether it's shelter referrals, housing assistance, or vital servicesโright where it's needed. Together, weโre bridging the gap between those in need and the resources that can change their lives. ๐งก

๐ฒ ๐ In June 2024, we continued to make a significant impact in our community through dedicated collaboration and support. Last month, we managed 660 dispatch calls, engaged in 51 proactive engagements, and saw 111 people accepting services and becoming clients.
*Dispatch calls address non-emergency homeless-related issues, while proactive engagements involve outreach efforts at known hotspots, and accepted services reflect those who have received vital support and resources.
Our efforts wouldn't be possible without the invaluable support of our partnered agencies and their police departments! ๐งก

SUCCESS STORY ๐งก Meet Andrew St. Pierre. After being homeless in Fullerton for over 10 years and resisting services, thankfully he accepted our help in February 2024.
Thanks to one of our many partners, Officer Pinder, his persistent encouragement led to us assisting Andrew in obtaining his birth certificate and other essential documents for housing; a task that is often made complicated for the unhoused.
By the end of April, we matched him with a housing opportunity and connected him with our partner @Vol_of_America to apply for Social Security Income. On July 11, 2024, Andrew moved into his new apartment and is thrilled to have a place to call home! To read the full story, click here: https://t.co/a0lLm41ZY9 ๐๐ฒ

Through proactive engagement, we provide services and build rapport with individuals experiencing homelessness at known hotspots in participating cities. By engaging during times of lower call activity, we establish our presence and ensure continuous support for clients and community members.
This approach allows us to deliver essential services like shelter referrals, case management, and housing documentation assistance, directly to those in need. In May 2024, we conducted 85 proactive engagements, addressing immediate needs and fostering trust and long-term relationships within the community.
