#OldCityHall is just that, the previous city hall. It was originally built to house the entire City offices for Tacoma, WA from the fire dept and police, to mayor and public works. Designed and built by architects Hatherton and McIntosh in 1892-3.

Safety First: If you have driven by OCH lately you may notice the clock tower roof has new netting. The City of #Tacoma has placed this to ensure no debris falls prior to the commencement of our renovation. It will stay at least 6-9 months until our construction team takes over.
The safes at #OldCityHall are unique and one of many original features of the building which will stay in place through the renovation. What a fun feature these will be in future offices and other rentable areas coming soon.

#OldCityHall - #Tacoma has many magnificent features including #bells in the tower and a clock adorning all 4 sides of the tower. The bells and #clock were gifted by Hugh Wallace of Tacoma, ambassador to France during World War I,in memory of his daughter on #ChristmasDay 1904.
